Jeremy's Run and Knob Mountain

Jeremy's Run and Knob Mountain Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The highlight of this wet and wild leg-stretcher is the walk along Jeremy’s Run, with its abundance of cascades, pools, and waterfalls, not to mention its many creek crossings. A bit isolated from Skyline Drive at the Appalachian Trail, you’ll need to make a good-sized loop using Knob Mountain Trail to see Jeremy’s Run in its entirety.

Before beginning this circuit, consider conditions carefully: You’ll be crossing the run many times, and if the creek is particularly high, it can be impossible for you stay dry. In warm weather, this route can be very enjoyable, as the cold-water crossings will feel refreshing. No matter how steamy the
summer heat, it is probably not prudent to attempt this hike if there’s been a great deal of rainfall recently."
