Pocahontas State Park

Pocahontas State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Pocahontas State Park was a CCC project, and it is the state’s largest park, sitting on 7,950 acres of forested land. You have your choice of two lakes for boating and fishing.

The park offers its Pool and Aquatic Recreation Center for swimming: There is a free day of swimming for each night of camping. Throughout the park wind various hiking and biking trails to explore the woodlands, with one trail accessible to those with disabilities. In addition, there are three sites available that meet ADA requirements."
