Middleburg Vineyard Tour

Middleburg Vineyard Tour Professional Review and Guide

"This ride travels through some of Virginia's finest wine country, where visits to the vineyards are always welcome and wine tasting is just part of the tour. Virginia is quickly becoming renown worldwide for its wine. And Loudoun County is home to a number of the Old Dominion's finest wineries.

This mostly non-paved (gravel and dirt road) ride is set up to lead cyclists through the area's beautiful rolling horse country, connecting (or passing nearby) a number of Northern Virginia's most productive vineyards. Make plenty of time for this trip and stop often to taste the latest wine. Trail Surface: Unpaved dirt and gravel roads."

This is an old route. The Meredyth vineyard has been closed for close to 9 years. We had to detour to Piedmont Valley, which is not listed in the directions but is shown on the map. There is now Chrysalis along Champe Ford Road (Route 629) but the road is 4 miles of hills and loose gravel, which wasn't very enjoyable.
