Hurricane Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"You are within steps of the Appalachian Trail at this campground, so make sure you do a little AT hiking before you leave. Within the campground, catch the Hurricane Knob Trail. It takes you up to Hurricane Knob, which sits at an elevation of 2,175 feet and is beautiful.

The trail is a loop, so you will end up back where you started when you descend from the Knob. There are two creeks, Hurricane Branch and Comers Creek, both of which are stocked with trout and make for great fishing. RV friendly, though large RVs are not recommended."
