Manassas National Battlefield Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A few miles from historic Manassas, the National Park Service operates a multifaceted Civil War Battlefield experience with several short and long trail options for touring the sites. Stop at Henry Hill Visitor Center to learn about the significance of battles here before heading out on the trail.

Before starting out, stop at the Henry Hill Visitor Center to pick up a trail map and, if you have time, watch the 45-minute video portraying the battles. There are multiple trail options ranging from 1 to 6 miles. Dogs must be leashed; bicycles are prohibited; no climbing on structures; can be buggy in the summer."

Started out at the visitors center and quickly noticed the lack of markers to show which way the trail goes. We had a hard time trying to stay on the second battle of Manassas trail. Once we went off trail for about a half a mile before noticing our mistake. Other than that we were outside so all was not lost. the trail is about 6.7 or so mile not the 7.5 that the site says. If you take Deep cut loop trail it then gets closer to the 7.5. Not a lot of scenery but like I said we were outside.
