Waterfall Mountain

Waterfall Mountain Professional Review and Guide

"Nothing seems to be left out on this ride. You'll find steep, rideable climbs, downhill rock scrambles, smooth single track barely clinging to the side of steep slopes, stream crossings, forest roads and some roots toward the end. Highlights: Boulder fields, views, portaging, roller coaster single track"

This trail was horrible. If you are a beginner, stay away, If you are intermediate, stay away If you are insane, you might try it You start at the parking lot of the closed ranger station. You ride 2 miles up a paved road before it turns into a well maintained gravel road and goes downhill for 2 miles. (this was the best part of the ride). Then you finally go off road and immediately go up steep inclines on a degraded trail that is impossible for an intermediate rider to ride. After 1 mile up hill the trail turns and continues up hill while the trail continues to degrade. By 6 miles into the ride (hike a bike) the trail was so badly degraded and the tree markings disappeared. We were following the remains of some old stone walls that marked the edge of an old forestry road but it was so bad that we pulled out our GPS and had to hike thru the woods and track back before we finally found the Duncan road at the end of the trail. This road was so over grown that while riding down the weeds were taller than I am sitting on the bike. Horrible ride, would not recommend it
