Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This hike traverses lofty and historic terrain within Shenandoah National Park. Visit the area of Skyland Resort, where George Pollack ran his highland lodge while advocating for the establishment of Virginia’s most popular national park.

A trip to the vistas of Stony Man will show you why this land was protected, especially from Stony Man Mountain, where cliffs rise 3,000 feet above the Shenandoah Valley. More views await from Little Stony Man. Return via the Passamaquoddy Trail and reach Furnace Spring, once used in a copper-mining operation."
