Knob Mountain and Jeremys Run Loop

Knob Mountain and Jeremys Run Loop Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is a long and rewarding loop exploring points high and low. Leave Elkwallow Picnic Ground (which has water, restrooms, and shaded tables), dropping to upper Jeremys Run, one of the park’s biggest, wildest valleys. Climb to Knob Mountain, then traverse its ridgeline, enjoying views on the way to Jeremys Run.

Make your way up gorgeous Jeremys Run valley, crossing the stream more than a dozen times. Watch for brook trout in the deep pools of Jeremys Run. You may want to cool off in the stream while down there. Leave the valley, backtracking to Elkwallow Picnic Ground. Don’t expect to have company on Knob Mountain, though you may see a few people along Jeremys Run."
