Heiskell Hollow Loop

Heiskell Hollow Loop Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This hike explores the least-visited ridge and valley of the greater Mathews Arm area of the park, and is one of the least-hiked quality circuits in the park. It has no single superlative feature to draw hikers in but offers you a chance to explore the park in solitude. First, circle around Mathews Arm Campground on the Traces Nature Trail, eventually reaching secluded Beecher Ridge.

Travel the spine of this regally forested highland before picking up the Heiskell Hollow Trail. Dip into the East Fork Valley before winding your way up Keyser Hollow and back onto Mathews Arm. Plenty of pioneer evidence awaits a sharp-eyed hiker."
