Douthat State Park

Douthat State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"There are miles of outdoor adventure available at Douthat State Park with 2 miles of stream fishing available. The park is located in the cool, lush interior of George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, spread across almost 4,500 acres of greenery.

The Allegheny Highlands Trail System is a project of the forest service, which is connecting hiking trails between the park and Covington to develop more than 60 miles of looped trails suitable for equestrians and mountain bikers, too. See if you can fit in exploration of about 40 miles of hiking and biking trails, ranging in difficulty from flat to more strenuous, located within the park. All of these options combined will provide more than 100 miles of trail-exploration opportunities."
