Joseph Bryan Park

Joseph Bryan Park Professional Review and Guide

"Abutting Henrico County in north Richmond, Joseph Bryan Park offers wide-ranging amenities, from tennis courts to state-park-style group-picnic shelters. Its streamside woods are pleasantly rustic, despite the roaring interstate nearby.

Joseph Bryan never resided on, or even owned, the land that was to become his namesake park. The end-of-the-19th-century publisher of the Richmond Times, which he merged with its main competitor to form the Times-Dispatch in 1903, lived instead at two of North Richmond’s most famous addresses."
