Duncan Hollow

Duncan Hollow Professional Review and Guide

"This ride starts out smooth before gradually climbing up through rocky Duncan Hollow. The trail smooths again after riding over Middle Mountain, at Scothorn Gap. Finally you'll descend a real teeth-chatterer of a trail before ending with a fast forest road cruise. Highlights: Stream crossings, boulder fields, heavy horse use, views"

We did the 11.7 mile loop yesterday and had a blast. The climb up Duncan Hollow is real gradual, but yeilds a great downhill. Watch for horses on the descent! We nearly scared a horse into throwing its rider. There are lots of rocks on this trail---a definite challenge. Not a lot of singletrack, but it is very pretty at the top--make sure to stop and take in the view.
