Westmoreland State Park

Westmoreland State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This park is situated on 1,311 acres along the Potomac River. The Horsehead Cliffs rise majestically above the water. As a camper at the park, you are not charged to swim in the pool or for launching your boat.

There are seven trails from which to choose for hiking; just one of the trails is available for biking. The beach trail gives a breathtaking view of the Potomac River. Electric wheelchairs are permitted on the trails. You can fish in the river for striped bass and bluefish. Kayaks and paddleboats are available for rent during the summer months and most weekends during the off-season."
