Chatham Cruise

Chatham Cruise Professional Review and Guide

"The Chatham Cruise is a delightful rural tour through the tobacco-growing region of Virginia’s largest county, Pittsylvania. Based in the tranquil town of Chatham, the Cruise’s terrain is mild but offers several challenges as it winds its way through the rolling foothills just east of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Stop in Gretna for lunch and take in historic Yates Tavern, circa 1750. Finish the cruise in Chatham, then celebrate at the Streetcar Diner, an authentic streetcar eatery and one of only twenty left in the United States. Terrain: Gently rolling. Several long, flat stretches and a half dozen or so short, steep hills provide some challenge."
