Fullers Rocks and Big Rocky Row Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Fullers Rocks and Big Rocky Row provide what can only be described as Olympian views. From overlooks close to 2,000 feet above the James River, you can watch the stream course its way through the gap that was created for it ages ago, when rocks on both sides where uplifted during a geological event.
It is Virginia’s longest river, stretching 450 miles from the West Virginia–Virginia state line to Chesapeake Bay. The hike has an historic aspect, too. Saddle Gap Trail, which you use during this loop, was part of an original A.T. segment, built here in 1930."
