Henry Lanum Memorial Trail

Henry Lanum Memorial Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Formerly known as the Pompey and Mount Pleasant Loop Trail, this five-mile loop is well worth the trip to its somewhat remote location. The Henry Lanum Jr. Trail has the reputation of being a "somewhere else to go" trail for outdoors people weary of the state's major trail systems and eager for a change of scenery. This well-marked course from start to finish is a loop not so heavily traveled, and consequently it offers considerable solitude.

However, for off-road cyclists, the Henry Lanum Jr. Trail is not just a place to go when Virginia's other trails prove mundane. For daring and eager mountain bikers, this is a first class loop of trails with more challenges and greater rewards than many trails more conveniently located and twice as long."
