Raven Rocks

Raven Rocks Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"On this portion of the Appalachian Trail’s famous Roller Coaster section, a few dips and climbs lead to an outcropping that has an impressive view of the valley.

This hike is rated moderate for its distance, but the rocky terrain could be a challenge for hikers unused to rock hopping. This short route on a segment of the Appalachian Trail (AT) climbs and dips its way up to the Raven Rocks overlook. The route to the overlook covers a short portion of a notorious 13.5-mile stretch of the AT known as the Roller Coaster, which can tire even the hardiest of hikers. This challenging section of trail rewards effort with big views."
