Huckleberry Trail

Huckleberry Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This absolutely gorgeous trail winds through plush pastures, quiet neighborhoods, and pocket woods in a region famous for its coal history.

Spring is especially beautiful, with the blooming dogwood and redbud. Winter can be chilly, though occasional snow makes it an ideal cross-country skiing venue."

Very pretty trail with beautiful farmland scenery. At one point we came up to some young cows that were very friendly and came to meet us. A very pleasant experience overall, but it can be a little challenging to a novice with some of those hills. Definitely check it out if you're going to VTech or live in Blacksburg. Also a nice way to get to the mall in Christiansburg.

Started to bike this trail today from behind the New River Mall in Blacksburg... This trail is NOT FOR A NOVICE! We've biked the entire New River Trail twice and the Creeper Trail, and found them MUCH EASIER than this Huckleberry Trail... Lots of hills and climbing here!
