Hidden Valley Lake

Hidden Valley Lake Professional Review and Guide

"The Hidden Valley Lake loop will charm you and invite you back for more. A lazy roll through a section of Virginia's highlands has been know to make visitors want to stay forever. Anglers will rejoice at the great fishing to be had in the lake, species such as bass, northern pike, sunfish, and crappie. Rock climbing is another popular attraction.

The land is privately owned but as long as you sign in, respect the rock, and don't bring your dog, you're gladly welcome. The exposed walls of limestone and sandstone are clearly visible as you drive up toward the top of the ridge. The climber or visitor and not the landowner assume all risk. Even if you don't climb, this trail offers a breathtaking view just the same. Trail Surface: Most of the trail is smooth and flat with sections of surface rocks."
