Duchesne River Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The Duchesne is a major drainage on the south slope of the Uinta Mountains. Most pressure is in the middle section of the river near the West Fork confluence.
The river is reached on Highway 35 from Woodland on the west or Hanna on the east. A large portion of the river is accessible via roads. Forest Road 144 runs along the North Fork, while Forest Road 050 serves the West Fork. There are three campgrounds—Aspen Grove, Hades, and Iron Mine—on the river above the confluence.
Key Species: Brown trout, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and brook trout."
