Griffin Road

Griffin Road Professional Review and Guide

"This beautiful drive crosses the high-altitude plateau of Griffin Top, with its long stretches of alpine meadows and wildlife viewing opportunities. The entire road surface is graded gravel and is suitable for a passenger car, but at the southern end some automobiles may find the grade steep.

Special Attractions: Access to a network of 4WD tracks and backcountry campsites; Aspen viewing and fall colors; Wide-ranging scenic views and wildlife viewing. This trail is graded dirt but suitable for a normal passenger vehicle. It usually has gentle grades, is fairly wide, and has very shallow water crossings (if any)."
