Eastern Uintas Highline Trail

Eastern Uintas Highline Trail Professional Review and Guide

"A multiday backpack along the summit of the Uinta Mountains to the eastern edge of the High Uintas Wilderness. The Highline Trail offers high-altitude views of the eastern Uinta Mountains as well as good fishing and camping.

Those who enjoy leaving the bustle of everyday life behind, and who wish to avoid the crowds in some backcountry areas, will enjoy the remoteness of this trail. The Highline Trail is so named because it follows the high summits of the entire Uinta Mountains. This section of trail winds through the Uinta Mountains to the eastern edge of the High Uintas Wilderness. The trail continues west through the wilderness area to its end at the Mirror Lake Highway."
