Copper Ridge Trail

Copper Ridge Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This short, easy trail offers an alternative to driving the complete Bull Creek Pass Trail, as it cuts across and shaves 19 miles off the full loop. However, it is a worthwhile trail in its own right, as it provides unparalleled views east over the Robbers Roost area, Gunsight Butte, and Canyonlands National Park, as well as to the La Sal and Abajo Mountains.

Special Attractions: Spectacular views east over the Robbers Roost area; Long length of comfortable shelf road; Access to the higher elevation trails in Bromide Basin. High-clearance vehicles are preferred, but not necessary. This trail is dirt roads, but may have rocks, grades, water crossings, or ruts that make clearance a concern in a normal passenger vehicle. The trail is fairly wide, so that passing is possible at almost any point along the trail. Mud is not a concern under normal weather conditions."
