The Riverside Walk is the easiest, most accessible, and most inviting hike within Zion National Park. And though the walk is suitable for hikers of all ages and capabilities, the signs at the trailhead provide ample warning of the dangers found in slot canyons and in any outdoor setting. In the case of the Narrows, those dangers can include flash flooding, erupting waterfalls, falling ice, and even avalanches. Rangers do an excellent job of monitoring these hazards, but it’s still your responsibility to check advisories and observe warnings to avoid these risks.
