Emerald Pools Trail

Emerald Pools Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Emerald Pools Trails are among the most popular hiking trails in the park, and justifiably so. From the valley floor, the trail crosses the Virgin River and ascends through three sets of pools.

The route passes through varied habitats: riparian, desert, and cool canyon—each with its own microhabitats. Along the way, you’ll have panoramic views up and down the canyon before entering deeply set alcoves."

On the weekends the trail is overly crowded which ruins the experience and the beauty. If you want to enjoy this trail or even the park plan it so that you are not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The views are breathtaking and worth the time to plan a great trip.
