Benches Pond

Benches Pond Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Located on the road between Fairview Canyon and Scofield in the Manti–La Sal National Forest, this little body of water is aptly described as a pond. Yet, because of a nice walkway on the south shore, a good parking area, and a nearby restroom, it hosts a number of anglers. Primarily a kids’ fishery, Benches Pond is too small for canoes or even float tubes. Key Species: Rainbow trout.

Benches is stocked regularly with catch-able rainbow trout through-out the summer. Fishing here is consistently good. Most simply use bait, though a fly and bubble in the evening can work. Small spinners and spoons can also be effective, but bait is best."
