Murray Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This green space, which serves a community of almost 50,000 residents (and many others besides), is 6 miles south of downtown Salt Lake City proper. Murray Park’s sometimes tree-canopied, occasionally rolling 36-plus acres parallel Little Cottonwood Creek. Founded, as one marker notes, in 1924, the walk-friendly park provides a stark contrast to the busy streets and the commercial and medical hubbub so close by. The park has picnic areas with grills, five pavilions, playgrounds, and athletic fields. Its pluses include an amphitheater, an outdoor aquatic center, a rose garden, an arboretum, and an indoor multipurpose gymnasium."
