Mount Wire Big Beacon

Mount Wire (Big Beacon) Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Mount Wire, also known as Big Beacon, is a perfect early-season hike to get your muscles moving after a long winter of hibernation. As this hike is just behind the University of Utah and the Natural History Museum of Utah, it’s hard to find an excuse not to enjoy this close-to-town and easy-to-follow trail. On a crisp morning when the views are clear, this hike is a real winner. Sunset hikes to this prominent foothill summit are also highly recommended."
