Josie Johnson Memorial Road Ride Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Bicyclists of all ages, interests, and abilities unite annually to ride in remembrance of cyclists who were killed in car collisions on Utah’s roads and to raise awareness for bicycle safety. Josie Johnson, after whom the ride was founded, was killed on September 18, 2004, while riding in Big Cottonwood Canyon.
In 2005 the ride attracted more than 1,000 bicyclists and was led by hometown pro rider and 2005 Tour de France stage winner Dave Zabriskie. Although Dave won the Prologue time trial, the pace on the memorial ride is kept casual."
