Gods Lawnmower Professional Review and Guide

"Gods Lawnmower is the perfect name for this backcountry tour. It’s an enormous slide path on the north side of Kessler Peak that looks like God himself fired up a tractor mower and plowed up the mountain, leaving a swath of open snow through the forest. Of course, nature made this wide ski run using destructive avalanches that swept the mountainside clean. Because of the disastrous avalanche potential on Gods Lawnmower, UDOT frequently conducts control work here after big snowstorms in order to protect the highway, and the route may be closed to touring traffic in the
mornings. Ski Gods Lawnmower only when the snowpack is stable, and approach the run with serious caution. If it recently snowed and there is no track in place, begin breaking trail at the lowest-angled section of slope above the road."
