Emigration Canyon Road Ride Professional Review and Guide
"Aptly named, Emigration Canyon was the final leg of the Mormon Pioneers’ historic trek to the Salt Lake Valley in 1847, led by Brigham Young. Today the canyon’s paved road is one of the most popular rides in the Wasatch Range. With ride-to access from the city’s “foothills,” gentle to moderate grades, light to moderate traffic, and two quaint cafes (Ruth’s Diner and Sun and Moon Cafe), Emigration welcomes all riders.
During late afternoon and on weekends, you’ll find a steady stream of bicyclists, from racers in full regalia to rec riders in T-shirts, making their way up the canyon to Little Mountain Summit."
