Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This isolated drainage on the north slope of the Uintas is located between the Bear River and Smiths Fork drainages. The four major tributaries are the West Fork, Middle Fork, East Fork, and Little East Fork. Generally, lakes in Blacks Fork Basin are small and widely scattered. Key Species: Brook trout, cutthroat trout, rainbow trout, grayling, golden trout, and brown trout.
The drainage is about 15 miles south of Highway 150
on the North Slope Road over Elizabeth Ridge, or 18 miles southwest of Robertson, Wyoming, on the Blacks Fork Road.
Trailheads in the drainage include Cache, East Fork Blacks Fork, and West Fork Blacks Fork. Major trails include Bear River–Smith Fork, West Fork Blacks Fork, East Fork Blacks Fork, Little East Fork Blacks Fork, and Middle Fork Blacks Fork."
