Fox Lake

Fox Lake Professional Review and Guide

"Although Fox is a primitive lake, it just doesn’t remind you of a wilderness area. Large groups of campers bring horses loaded with all their “essentials” and begin to party. Don’t get us wrong. We like to have fun just as much as the next guy, but we prefer a place that is a little less conspicuous. Fox Lake gets more than its share of high-impact camping.

The best access to Fox begins at West Fork Whiterocks trailhead. From the trailhead, the trail goes northwest 2.0 miles to a junction with the trail to Queant Lake. Stay left
(northwest) for 1.5 miles to Cleveland Lake. It’s another 3.5 miles over Fox-Queant Pass to Crescent and Fox Lakes. Another route that is well traveled by horses starts in the Uinta River Drainage."
