West Canyon Road

West Canyon Road is a hiking, biking, and horse trail in Washington County, Utah. It is within Snow Canyon State Park and Red Cliffs National Conservation Area. It is 4.0 miles long and begins at 3,237 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 8.0 miles with a total elevation gain of 657 feet. Along the trail there is parking. This trail connects with the following: Three Ponds Trail, Whiptail Trail and Lava Flow Overlook Trail.

"Located about 10 miles north of St. George. Highlights: An easy ride on a smooth, wide singletrack through a spectacular sandstone canyon in Snow Canyon State Park.

The road is closed to all but authorized motor vehicles, which makes it especially pleasant. This is an excellent choice for beginning riders and family groups. More physically fit riders can ride this trail from St. George. Tread: 7.6 miles on maintained dirt road."
