Timpooneke Campground

Timpooneke Campground Professional Review and Guide

"They say that if you look at the profile along the peaks of Mount Timpanogos, you’ll see the outline of a young Native American princess lying down in peaceful rest. Some people look at Timpanogos as the home of Utah’s very own glacier. Still others see the rugged mountain as the home of one of Utah’s most talked-about hikes. No matter your angle, Mount Timpanogos is an awesome sight, and Timpooneke is the best seat in the house.

Timpooneke Campground is less than 10 miles from the Utah Valley, one of the fastestgrowing parts of the state. The increased population here has had a corresponding effect on the tent-camping population at Timpooneke. Once a hidden gem that hardly anyone knew about, Timpooneke has been discovered, and reservations are almost a must these days. That’s not to say that the campground isn’t worth a visit or that you can’t have privacy—you just have to be smart about picking your site."
