South Fork, Provo River

South Fork, Provo River Professional Review and Guide

"This beautiful, rugged area has difficult access but rewarding bowls and headwalls that see little ski-touring traffic. Heli-skiing can occur from mid-December through March, especially in seasons when the snowpack is comparable to the Central Wasatch.

In other winters it remains much shallower and more dangerous. Water Hollow offers shorter approaches to excellent skiing in safer, smaller-scale terrain, but Trefoil Ranch Girl Scout Camp actively blocks access from the base of Water Hollow and Shingle Mill Canyon."
