Payson Lakes Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"As the name implies, there are a series of small lakes just east of the town of Payson in Payson Canyon on the Nebo Loop. There are some nice developed facilities, especially at Payson Lake, which features access for the disabled, a paved trail, some nice grassy areas, and a highly developed Forest Service campground.
This is a nice place to take the family for a day picnic or an afternoon of fishing. The canyon offers cool temperatures in the summer. Parents appreciate the paved trail and grassy picnic areas, largely because it helps keep their children clean. Key Species: Rainbow trout and brook trout."
