Paragonah Reservoir Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Known as Red Creek Reservoir by locals, Paragonah Reservoir is a 70- acre fishery found east of Paragonah. It is accessed through Paragonah Main Canyon on Forest Road 078. Small boats can be launched from shore.
Once a put-and-take fishery, the reservoir now sustains a naturally reproducing population of rainbow trout. Fly fishers typically have the best success. In the spring, try bead-head nymphs, dark-colored wet flies, and damselfly nymphs. As the water warms, midge and mayfly hatches will occur.
Key Species: Rainbow trout."
