Alpine Loop Challenge Professional Review and Guide
"The Alpine Loop Challenge is a mountainous 45.3-mile out-and-back ride through breathtaking scenery in the Uinta National Forest. The route covers portions of the Alpine Loop Scenic Byway—which is not really a loop—and the Provo Canyon Scenic Byway. The Alpine Loop is a route that twists through some outrageously scenic terrain in the mountains to the northeast of Provo. The “loop” is more of a horseshoe, accessible via American Fork Canyon in the north and from Provo Canyon in the southeast. Most of the loop is within the Uinta National Forest. Part of the forest unit is designated as the Mount Timpanogos Wilderness."
