Indian Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This creek flows for about 10 miles before entering Joe’s Valley Reservoir. It is accessible along the Miller Flat Road (Forest Road 014). The upper reaches are accessed via Forest Road 8 out of Orangeville on Forest Road 040. Approximately 10 miles from FR 8, head north on Forest Road 017. The Indian Creek campground is about 1.5 miles from FR 040 and has 29 sites.

Fishing with hopper and attractor patterns provides nonstop action starting in late July. Caddis patterns also work well. Night crawlers and spinners work well during times when the river is running high or is off-color. Key Species: Rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and brook trout."
