If 30 miles sounds wimpy, forego the suggested vehicle shuttle and close the loop with an additional 10 miles of pavement. But don’t let the route’s daunting rating make you start flipping through the pages for a more tame route. Strong intermediate bikers will enjoy out-and-back segments from each of the three trailheads.
