Skyline Trail

Skyline Trail Professional Review and Guide

"There are big rides, and then there is Olympic-caliber Skyline Trail. This fat-tire enduro is actually the combination of three closely related singletracks: Southern Skyline Trail (Pineview Trailhead), Northern Skyline Trail (North Ogden Pass Trailhead), and Ben Lomond Trail (North Fork Park Trailhead). Each leg defines alpine mountain biking, where long, demanding climbs lead to airy ridges, where mountainsides are blanketed with vibrant wildflowers, and where singletrac

The Skyline Olympiad is reserved for off-road experts, endurance junkies, and “mountain-bike-or-die” hammerheads. If 30 miles sounds wimpy, forego the suggested vehicle shuttle and close the loop with an additional 10 miles of pavement. But don’t let the route’s daunting rating make you start flipping through the pages for a more tame route. Strong intermediate bikers will enjoy out-and-back segments from each of the three trailheads. In doing so, you’ll enjoy the same majestic views and outrageous trail conditions but will return to the trailhead satiated, not bonked. Singletrack throughout."

Great Ride!! This Bear will keep going and going and going. You can make an entire day of this ride...from sunset to sunrise. Starting across the street from Windsurfer Beach begins a long, open ride. Covering several types of terrain from soft dirt to very technical climbs you can continue the trail to Ben Lomand Peak and into Williard or climb to the top Lewis Peak. Fantasic ride.
