Burraston Ponds Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"An urban fishery located between Nephi and Santaquin, these small ponds are the kind of place parents love to take their kids. They are fairly close to the Wasatch Front but not well known, so they’re rarely crowded. Facilities are limited here. Key Species: Rainbow trout.
This is a classic put-and-take fishing situation. Hatchery trucks visit this area on a regular basis, even during the winter months, providing a ready source of catch-able rainbow trout year-round. Occasionally, hatcheries dump some large, trophy-size brook stock in the pond, offering a kid the chance to catch a surprisingly large fish. No boats are needed at these small ponds. Most anglers use a variety of baits, but spinners and flies will also work."
