Yellow Jacket Canyon Professional Review and Guide
"This ride has sandy sections and transitions and enough rough trail challenges, climbs and descents, and scenic beauty to make it a standout section of the Kokopelli Trail system (which travels 150 miles from Loma, Colorado, to Moab). The entire trip is overrated, but undeniably scenic. Some of the trail system is fine mountain biking for strong intermediate riders who want to be challenged by distance rather than surface, but only a few short sections of the system can be considered truly technically challenge.
Be sure to stop of top of the hills for the incredible views off to the southwest. Like most rides in Moab there is no shade on the trail, so be sure to take more water. Portions of this trail are impassable when wet. Trail Surface: 4WD track and a paved road with sand, hardpack, bedrock, a small amount of slickrock, gravel, and loose rock."
