Yellow Cat Road

Yellow Cat Road Professional Review and Guide

"This trail is a shorter, easier alternative to the full Southeast #20: Yellow Cat Trail, yet it passes the same major points of interest. This route is graded gravel or dirt the entire length, and in dry weather is suitable for passenger vehicles. It starts and ends at I-70, making access to the trail easy. However, the trail can quickly become impassable in wet weather.

Special Attractions: Uranium mining remains around The Poison Strip; Shorter, easier version of Yellow Cat Trail; Access to many remote area 4WD trails. This trail is graded dirt but suitable for a normal passenger vehicle. It usually has gentle grades, is fairly wide, and has very shallow water crossings (if any)."
