Pritchett Arch

Pritchett Arch Professional Review and Guide

"Much of this trail follows the eastern rim of Kane Creek Canyon. Several side roads lead to overlooks along the rim where Hurrah Pass can be seen in the distance and Kane Creek Canyon Trail can be seen below. The trail takes you close to magnificent Pritchett Arch but you must hike about 15 minutes to see the arch up close. Although short, the hike is very steep and requires some climbing at the start. Make sure you carry plenty of drinking water.

This trail is mostly easy except for the last several miles where it becomes increasingly rocky with one challenging spot. With careful maneuvering, some driving skill, and a good spotter, stock vehicles can get through without mishap. Skidplates are recommended. Although there are many spur roads, route-finding is fairly easy, provided instructions are carefully followed. Loose gravel and cairns help define the trail across two short sections of slickrock."
