Hurrah Pass

Hurrah Pass Professional Review and Guide

"The 14.5-mile spin to Hurrah Pass, unlike most Moab-area rides, is entirely on roads negotiable by two-wheel-drive vehicles (although the last three miles request high clearance). You’ll begin within the Moab city limits, starting with a five-mile spin along a ribbon of pavement nestled between the Colorado River and its sheer canyon walls. Then, after seven miles of gravel that’s high-grade but quite possibly washboarded, you’ll commence the steep, serpentine climb to Hurrah Pass, up and over the anticline separating the canyons of Kane Creek and the Colorado River.

Aerobically the ride is rated moderate; technically, easy to moderate. General location: The ride begins in Moab."
