Gold Basin

Gold Basin Professional Review and Guide

"The route starts on a gravel road, then drops from a parking area on a tight and steep singletrack. Beyond, the singletrack is an old, unmaintained road through the forest, sometimes blocked by logs. The road gives way to a singletrack that is rideable in a pinch but is best hiked.

The singletrack affords access deeper into Gold Basin. If you are looking for that indescribable feeling of awe one gets when in remote and threatening wilderness, then the hike into the basin is just the ticket. Trail Surface: Gravel on a wide dirt road and loose rock, bedrock, logs, shale loam, and sand on mountain singletrack."
