Dome Plateau Trail

Dome Plateau Trail Professional Review and Guide

"The trail out to Dome Plateau is an easy trail that offers many vistas along its length. It leaves from Southeast #21: Yellow Cat Road to the south and crosses the undulating terrain known as The Highlands. The graded trail can be sandy and loose in sections, but it is normally passable by high-clearance vehicles. Like most trails around here, it is one to avoid when it is wet.

Special Attractions: Natural arch near trail; Views over the Professor Valley and Arches National Park; Access to many spur trails and viewpoints. High-clearance vehicles are preferred, but not necessary. This trail is dirt roads, but may have rocks, grades, water crossings, or ruts that make clearance a concern in a normal passenger vehicle. The trail is fairly wide, so that passing is possible at almost any point along the trail. Mud is not a concern under normal weather conditions."
