Cowboy Camp Campground Professional Review and Guide
"In days of the Wild West, very few places were as wild as this part of Utah. Indeed, if these hills could talk, they’d tell you about all the cowboys they’d seen over the years, riding over the rough desert terrain. Today, you can camp on that same soil once ridden by some of the most storied figures of the 19th century.
Cowboy Camp is a simple but sweet little seven-site campground just off UT 313, some 20 miles from US 191. If you’ve never taken the drive up UT 313, it’s worth it even if you plan to camp elsewhere. The road climbs from the valley floor and winds around hairpin turns where it’s been carved into the red-and-orange rock walls. As you make your way to the campground, you rise more than 1,500 feet and are rewarded with stellar views, along with plenty of scenic turnouts to take advantage."
