Canyonlands National Park: Grand View Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"An easy day hike with a well-named view. The NPS has placed several wonderful interpretive signs at the Grand View Trailhead, including a panoramic sign that names many of the prominent features in the area such as the Totem Pole, the confluence of the Colorado and Green Rivers, and the White Rim Road winding its way around Island in the Sky.

"A short, flat walk with a great view of White Rim Country. You can get a good view of the White Rim area from the parking lot, but a short enjoyable walk gives you a really good view. The White Rim Overlook Trail starts at the right (south) side of the parking lot. It’s flat and easy to follow the entire way. Some sections rely on well-placed cairns to show the way.
